Currently based in the Chicago area, D.S. Wilson is a rapidly emerging artist in the Smooth/Contemporary Jazz genre. Wilson’s early career included playing in rock, blues, and variety bands for over 20 years. During that timeframe, he was offered a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In 2015, Wilson returned to his jazz roots and began studying jazz piano under Randy Halberstadt in Seattle, WA. After releasing two self-produced albums in 2018 and 2020, his acclaimed third album “Skyline” (produced by hitmaker Adam Hawley) was released in early 2023, landing him on three of the national Top 100 charts for over a year, with a top ranking in the Top 25 on SmoothJazz.com. His music has been featured multiple times by Dave Koz on his weekly radio show on SiriusXM Watercolors. Wilson is currently working on a fourth album and he regularly performs nationally, logging 40-50 performances per year.
