Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble, in collaboration with Fat Theater Project, presents the Chicago premiere of Funny, Like an Abortion, written by Rachel Bublitz and directed by Eileen Tull. Set in a future where mentioning abortion is criminalized, the play follows Monroe, played by Bianca Thompson, as she hosts a surprise abortion party for her best friend Jade, portrayed by Saniafaith. The production also aims to raise awareness about women's rights through a gallery exhibition that will run alongside the performances.
