Evanston Salt Costs Climbing, written by Will Arbery, is set to premiere at First Floor Theater from May 22 to June 14, 2025. The play follows salt truck drivers Peter and Basil as they navigate increasingly harsh winters and contemplate their uncertain futures, especially as their boss Maiworm envisions a shift to new green technology. Through humor and storytelling, they confront a growing sense of dread lurking beneath the icy roads of Evanston. The production is directed by Micah Figueroa.
