Chicago Cabaret Week Opening Night 2023 features Black Voices In Cabaret/Working In Concert, Acts Of Kindness Cabaret, and Anne & Mark Burnell as they kick off cabaret week! Catch the grand opening of the 2nd annual 9-day festival celebrating all aspects of cabaret from the American Songbook, jazz, Broadway, world music and French chanson, vocal harmonies, and more! The showstopper opening night of Chicago Cabaret Week 2023 features a dynamic trio of coordinating organizations, each bringing a distinct flavor to the stage and delivering an unforgettable night of music, talent, and sheer entertainment.
Act 1 – Acts Of Kindness Cabaret's Hilary Ann Feldman, Cindy Firing, and Marianne Murphy Orland bring you highlights of AOKC's longest-running show, exploring friendship in all its forms.
Act 2 – Working In Concert, led by the award-winning powerhouse team from Black Voices in Cabaret, showcases performers taking the world (starting with Paris) by storm in late summer… so expect songs with a French theme to abound.
Act 3 – If that wasn't enough to get your heart racing, the legendary Anne & Mark Burnell take the stage with electrifying jazz stylings and stunning original arrangements.
