It is night, we are in America, and the time is now.

Will Act For Food is following up the success of their production of Frankenstein in Love with Len Jenkin's American Notes: a slightly twisted glimpse into the lives of average, everyday people... who turn out to not be so average after all. WAFF Artistic Director and co-founder Corri Feuerstein directs the play and its multifarious miscellany.

Part intertwined character sketchbook, part postcard collection, and held together by desperation and coffee-fueled late-night conversation; American Notes is a surreal journey into the American Myth and the mysteries of Who We Are, What We Do, and Is That Crocodile Dead? Jenkin's darkly comic tale keeps us wondering what's lurking just beyond our view. This is interesting country. Look around.

Cans for Cash night: Saturday, May 16!

Will Act For Food designates one performance of every production as our special food-raising event, "Cans For Cash." For each nonperishable food item a patron donates, he/she is given $1 off the $30 full-price ticket for the event, with no limit to this discount: one's entire admission can be paid in food, or with any combination of cans and cash! To thank patrons for their generosity, there is a reception immediately after the show where the audience can mingle with the cast and crew while enjoying refreshments and music.

All food donations benefit Lakeview Pantry, one of the longest-lived food pantries in Chicago. Due to the limited space and popularity of this event, we do ask that you reserve your seats in advance. Questions? Want to RSVP? Drop an email to cansforcash@willactforfood.com.
