Gay Chicago TV welcomes Waymon Hudson as the host of Critical Thinking. GCTV believes in Waymon's passion and commitment as a vocal community activist and LGBT rights advocate and is happy to provide him with a platform that will expand the already great work he does for the LGBTQ community.
Critical Thinking is a roundtable discussion of contemporary and relevant events; guests from multiple backgrounds discuss political and social changes that affect the gay community. Critical thinking is commonly understood to involve commitment to the social and political practice of participatory democracy, willingness to imagine or remain open to considering alternative perspectives, willingness to integrate new or revised perspectives into our ways of thinking and acting, and willingness to foster critical thinking in others.
Waymon Hudson is a writer, civil rights and political activist. He is President and Co-Founder of the national non-profit LGBT rights organization Fight OUT Loud. In addition to advocacy work, he is a featured columnist at the Huffington Post, the Chicago RedEye, ChicagoPride.com, and other national news sites. He also works as political consultant specializing in web-based action, social networking, and youth outreach. Whether marching in the streets, organizing online, or playing politics, his goals remain the same: to challenge the forces of bigotry, hate, and ignorance.
