Whose Live Anyway?, a follow up to the Emmy Award-winning television series "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" brings the funny to The Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University Friday, April 30 at 8 p.m. The 90-minute performance features the same comedians - Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten and Jeff B. Davis - who made the original series a smash hit among television audiences, but this time they're doing it live. "'Whose Line' is funny on TV. Live it's incredibly funny," acclaims The Vancouver Sun.

"Whose Live Anyway?" puts four renowned improv artists center stage in an uproariously funny live show that promises big laughs, and even a little improvisational song and dance. Much like its TV counterpart, "Whose Live Anyway?" relies heavily on audience participation. With much of the show open to suggestion, famed comedians Stiles, Proops, Esten and Davis take their cues from The Center's audience for a one-of-a-kind night to remember.

"Whose Live Anyway?" is based on the popular 1988 comedy series, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" While it initially drew a large audience overseas, the show maintained a smaller cult following in the United States until its repackaging in 1998. Featuring many of the same performers, and Drew Carey as host, the new incarnation of "Whose Line" took the nation by storm thanks to its random but reliable brand of humor and a dynamic cast of characters. Stiles and Proops, who have been performing improv for more than 20 years, each joined the cast of the British series in 1989, while Esten began with a guest appearance in 1992. Davis, meanwhile, is the youngest member of the foursome; he got his feet wet in the production in 2000.

Following a pair of sold-out shows in Vancouver in 1999, series executive producer Ryan Stiles took his "Night of Improv" show on the road for a number of additional performances, brining some friends along with him for what is known today as "Whose Live Anwyay?" Joining Stiles onstage at The Center is Greg Proops, the revered comedic actor whose credits include "The Drew Carey Show" and recently, Disney Channel's "Tru Jackson, VP." Charles "Chip" Esten, noted for his sharp wit, also has a serious side; he portrays Ray Henry on the HBO series, "Big Love." Rounding out the group is Jeff B. Davis who has had roles on "True Blood" and "The Sarah Silverman Program." No strangers to the stage, the four are prepared to puts their wits to the test and look forward to the suggestions and participation of The Center's lively audience. "Standup is fun, improv is funnier...and these guys are the world's best!" raves The Portland Oregonian.
