Village Players Performing Arts Center has committed itself to offering the residents of Oak Park, and surroundings, as much Holiday cheer and music as any one person could want!  Beginning December 19, Village Players is producing three Holiday Concerts to amuse and delight audiences of all ages. 

 

A Rock'N'Roll Christmas – Friday, December 19

Board President Paul McKenna is coming out of the office and onstage for one night only!  McKenna, owner of popular Forest Park eatery Starship Restaurant, will bring in all his favorite friends, including The Paw Minnow Band, for an evening of great music.  This is a Christmas concert for anyone who thinks a little guitar is instrumental for some Christmas cheer.

 

We Need A Little Christmas – Saturday, December 20

This Village Players Christmas concert will unite some old friends and some new faces for an evening of traditional and classy Christmas music.  Dale Calandra, direct from the national tour of Hairspray, will host the evening as his hilarious alter ego Aunt Lola Cabana.  Featured performers include renowned Chicago jazz singer Denny Englemen as well as Village Players favorites Laurie Marchese (The Full Monty) and Jack Crowe (Chad Morton's TV Christmas Miracle).

 

A Rock'N'Roll Christmas and We Need A Little Christmas performances are at 8:00 PM on their respective evenings.  Tickets are $25 for Adults and $20 for Students & Seniors.

 

On New Year's Eve…Anything Goes! – Wednesday, December 31

For the first time ever, Village Players is entertaining on New Year's Eve!  A fundraising benefit concert for the theatre, this sophisticated evening will include a multitude of performers from Village Players' productions singing all your favorite showtunes, to make for one of your most memorable New Year's Eve celebrations ever!

 

On New Year's Eve…Anything Goes! performs at 9:00 PM.  The $50 ticket includes: Champagne, Hor D'oeuvres, Concert Performance, & Midnight Festivities!

 

Presented in the Mainstage Theater of the newly renovated Village Players Performing Arts Center located at 1010 Madison St., Oak Park. Plenty of parking is available on the street.
