Uptown Underground's Holiday Line Up: Traditions with a Twist!

Uptown Underground, 4707 N. Broadway, celebrates the holiday season with steamy retrotainment in a cozy speakeasy environment. Perfect for date night, holiday party or out-of-town guests, Uptown Underground is home to The Kiss Kiss Cabaret and Chicago Magic Lounge as well as other regular performers from burlesque to drag, cabaret to circus.

This season there is a whole stocking full of holiday offerings that range from naughty to nice and everything in between! Returning this year are some Uptown Underground favorites, with a wintery twist as well as a few new elves in the workshop.

The Kiss Kiss Cabaret featuring the Underground Vaudettes: Fridays & Saturdays @10pm $22.50-$46.50: These gals have got you covered from hips to hooves with their sexy take on such classics as the warm and sunny "Mele-Kalikimaka" and "Run, Run Rudolph" complete with top hats and reindeer antics!

The Black Friday Ball, November 24th @8pm: an immersive, unpredictable, neo-spectacle of a dance party with live burlesque, dance, pole, drag, and acrobatics raging on throughout the night!

Boy Toy's Pocket Cabaret December 1st @8pm $20: Speaking of naughty, these nice boys will bring you presents and packages galore as they swing, sing and flip! Musical cabaret, boylesque and circus acts... there is something for you and everyone on your list!

Strip Joker, December 8th @8pm $20: Your friends at Strip Joker are here to pat your back and remind you that "You Are Beautiful" as we hit the mid-way point of holiday indulgence. With Thanksgiving in our rear view and more holidays on the horizon, clothing is bound to feel a little tight, which is why our comedians will be taking them off! Shows about Holiday Weight and scrapping resolutions are just a few gifts this group will be bringing this December!

Live Read Movie Monday: Love, Actually, December 18th @8pm $10-$15: This talented gang of actors will bring you the ultimate holiday tearjerker: "Love Actually"! Bring your tissues and your cue cards so you can cry and profess your secret love of this holiday classic!

Christmas: By Melania, November 14th- December 19th @8pm $15: From behind the pursed lips of the First Lady we bring you the warmest possible holiday greeting the White House could muster! Featuring a cavalcade of D.C. stars: Paul Manafort, Mike and Karen Pence, Barron Trump, Kellyanne Conway, Jeff Sessions, Vladimir Putin, Maxine Waters, and many more! Savor the ELEGANCE, GLAMOUR, and LUXURY of Christmas.

The Buttcracker: A Nutcracker Burlesque, November 29th- December 20th @8pm $25-$30: one part ballet, one part burlesque this variety show is a combination fairy tale and exotic trip down the rabbit hole with the best of Chicago's night-life entertainment. A twist on the original ballet and an event not to be missed! The show follows Clara and her "Buttcracker" at their boring-AF Christmas party all the way to their hallucinogenic trip to the Land Of Sweets!

Songs from My Holiday Closet, December 12th @7:30pm $20-$25: Back by popular demand this a night of heartwarming and hilarious "HoliGay" music featuring the original songs of Larry Todd Cousineau. This festive revue, created by the award-winning lyricist, stars LT Cousineau, Ashlee Hardgrave, and musical director (and multiple Jeff Award nominee) Jimmy Morehead and "special guest" appearance by the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus!

Raks Geek, December 29th @8pm $19-$39: If your one winter wish is to see something you've never seen before then Raks Geek will make that wish come true as a belly dancing wookiee shimmies and shakes to the beloved, deep cut from the Star Wars Christmas Special; What Do You Get a Wookiee for Christmas!

The Annual Kiss Kiss Cabaret New Year's Eve Hullabaloo, December 31st: Come and ring in the New Year like you're Bianca Jagger strutting around Studio 54 in your Halston jumper! This year's Hullabaloo will have just a touch of all the things that made disco cool... The dancing, the decadence, Andy Warhol in the corner snuggling with Liza Minnelli*! Your ticket includes a complimentary cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour, a full 2-hour show, and a dance party so epic you'll swear Jimmy Carter is still president**! Glitz & Glam attire strongly encouraged*** as there will be plenty of Red Carpet photo ops!
