Two community leaders in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago have accepted to serve on a new Board of Directors for Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre, a Rogers Park-based cabaret theatre company.

Lorraine Dostal, Manager in the Investment Department at Northwestern University, and Richard Moran, a Rogers Park CPA, join Ald. Joe Moore of the 49th Ward and Fred Anzevino, co-founder and artistic director of Theo Ubique. These four charter members will begin meeting this month to fill the remaining three Board openings and initiate other organizational activities.

Theo Ubique, which performs in the No Exit Cafe, 6970 N. Glenwood, has been operating with a four-member Board of Directors comprised of Anzevino and three other artistic company members. The company is undergoing organizational development initiatives after more than tripling revenues during its 2008-09 theatre season.

"Both Lorraine and Dick are excellent additions to our new governing Board of Directors and, with Ald. Moore, can provide the kind of financial guidance and business oversight we need to grow and expand," Anzevino said.

Both Dostal and Moran live in the Rogers Park neighborhood.

Dostal has been in Northwestern's Investment Department for 30 years, currently as cash manager, fixed income manager and coordinator of gifts of securities for Northwestern's Endowment Fund. She also has served on the Board of the Rogers Park Community Council, the Rogers Park Community Development Corporation and her condo association. She received an accounting and economics degree from the University of Illinois, MBA from Northwestern in finance and accounting, paralegal certificate from Roosevelt University and completing PhD courses in economics at Northwestern University.

Moran, a life-long Rogers Park resident, is a public accountant and practices as Richard P. Moran, CPA, primarily counseling small business, professional practice and individual clients. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Rogers Park Community Council and Rogers Park Community Development Corporation in addition to previously serving as Treasurer of several not-for-profit organizations. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and Association for Computing Machinery.

Theo Ubique more than tripled revenues in its 2008-2009 season, garnering 13 Jeff Award nominations and seven awards last June with six of those for top artistic elements for "Evita." Productions for the 2009-10 season are "The Taming of the Shrew" and "Man of La Mancha," which ran in 2009, and "Chess," opening March 7.
