Third Annual PIVOT ARTS FESTIVAL Begins Today

Pivot Arts has announced its 3rd annual PIVOT ARTS FESTIVAL, featuring dozens of innovative performances and multi-disciplinary works throughout Chicago's Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods from today, May 28 - June 7, 2015.

The ten-day Festival will feature live music, theater, dance, puppetry, discussions, wine tastings, workshops, children's performances and more. This year's theme, "Celebrate Community!," is focused on bringing diverse neighbors together through the arts. The Festival will also include a first-time Community Parade on Saturday, May 30 at 1 pm, kicking off at Granville near Kenmore and culminating in performances at Loyola University's St. Ignatius Plaza.

Artists currently confirmed for the 2015 PIVOT ARTS FESTIVAL include: BAATHHAUS, Lizi Breit, Bri-Ko, Pamela Chermansky, Edgewater Workbench, Dean Evans, Ayako Kato, Daniel Kerr-Hobert, Lucky Plush Productions, Jessie Marasa, Neo-Futurists, RE Dance, Tsukasa Taiko and Vanessa Valliere.

The festival will also include children's performances by Circesteem, Lifeline Theatre, Merry Music Makers, Swift School, Storytown Improv and others.

Festival venues and locations include: Francesca's Bryn Mawr, Lickity Split Custard and Sweet Shop, Loyola University's Mundelein Center for the Arts, Granville Avenue, Loyola University's St. Ignatius Community Plaza and the Uptown Underground.

Join Pivot Arts for a sneak peek of this year's Festival at the official Preview Party on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 6:30 pm at Francesca's Bryn Mawr, 1039 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 at the door.

Pivot Arts is a home for innovative music, theater and dance on Chicago's far north side. They develop new work and present performances throughout the year culminating in a multi-arts festival. Their vision is that of a vibrant community where unique collaborations between artists, businesses and organizations lead to the support and creation of innovative performance events.
