Theo Ubique's 'SOME ENCHANTED EVENING' Kicks Off St. Charles Summer Theater Fest, 6/9-7/22

Fox Valley Repertory will kick off the 2nd Annual Summer Theater Fest in St. Charles with five singers, one baby grand piano, and more than 30 songs as they bring Chicago's critic-acclaimed and Jeff-Nominated Theo Ubique production of Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein on the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; box office 630-584-6342).

Some Enchanted Evening will preview Thursday, May 31 through Friday, June 8, 2012. The show will open Saturday evening, June 9, 2012 and continue through Sunday, July 22, 2012. The July performances are in collaboration with the 2nd Annual St. Charles Summer Theater Fest.

Tickets are priced at $32 on Fridays (and limited Thursday performances), and at $42 on Saturdays and Sundays. Dinner show packages are available from $52. Group discounts, overnight rates, and discounted subscription packages are also available.

Fox Valley Rep welcomes Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre of Chicago to bring their brand of young, emerging talent and intimate-style productions to St. Charles with their critic-acclaimed production. Under the direction of Theo Ubique's Artistic Director Fred Anzevino and music directed by Jeremy Ramey, the production has been called "A classic example of what (Fred) Anzevino can do with young-but-trained talent and the American Songbook" by the Chicago Tribune. Patrons will spend an evening harkening to the days of sophistication and celebrate beautiful Rodgers and Hammerstein's songs and lyrics from some of musical theatre?s classics that have forever defined the genre: Carousel, Cinderella, The King and I, Oklahoma, South Pacific, The Sound of Music and more.

The cast of Some Enchanted Evening features (in alphabetical order): Chad Ballantyne, Amanda Batcher, St. Charles native Danielle Floyd, Amanda Hartley, Matt McNabb with Accompanist and Wheaton native Elizabeth Doran.

Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre, Fred Anzevino started the company in 1997 and incorporated it in 2004, when he changed its direction to cabaret theatre, setting a new trend in Chicago. He has produced more than 30 productions since then and received personal Jeff Awards Non-Equity as Outstanding Direction for both Evita (2009) and Cabaret (2008). Company awards under his stewardship include: 18 Jeff Awards Non-Equity, 3 After Dark Awards and the Rogers Park Community Council's Spirit of Rogers Park Award. He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and toured for two years with Big River.

Some Enchanted Evening runs Thursday, May 31, 2012 through Sunday, July 22, 2012. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. Thursday performances are available on May 31 and June 7 at 8pm; and June 14 & 28 and July 19 at 2pm. The show is rated PG.
