Theo Ubique has added six more weeks to the original extension of its production of "The Light in the Piazza." The show, which opened March 11, will now run through Saturday, June 23.

Originally slated to close April 29, the show was extended to May 20 after tickets sold out within two weeks. That extension sold out the week it was announced. As a result, The Light in the Piazza will now run for an additional 15 performances, as outlined below.

After extending through May 20 – during which it will run Fri-Sun, May 4-6 and 11-13, and Thursday through Sunday, May 17-20 – "The Light in the Piazza" will run Thursday-Sunday, May 24-27; Thursday-Saturday, May 31-June 2; Friday-Sunday, June 8-17; and end with two final performances on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23. Thursday showtimes are at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays are at 8 p.m.; and Sundays are at 7 p.m.

The showtimes will allow the final two weeks to run in rep with the company's summer show, "Time after Time: The Songs of Jule Styne," directed by David Heimann, slated to open June 11.

Tickets for the extension are $34-$39 with discounts available for groups, students and seniors. Dinner is optional with 3 courses for $20 excluding beverages, taxes and tips. Purchase online at WWW.THEO-U.ORG or call 800.595.4849. For more details check the web site or call 773.347.1109.

"We are excited to be adding even more performances of this exciting production!" says Artistic Director Fred Anzevino. "The response to this show has been incredibly positive and we are thrilled the show has had such an impact on audiences."

With a book by Craig Lucas and music and lyrics by Adam Guettel, The Light in the Piazza is directed by Theo Ubique's Artistic Director Fred Anzevino and Brenda Didier and features musical direction by Jeremy Ramey. Stage manager is Rachael Holiday and production manager is Toma Langston. The Light in the Piazza features set design by Adam Veness, lighting design by Michael M. Nardulli and costume design by Bill Morey with dialect coach Eva Breneman.

The Light in the Piazza stars Kelli Harrington, Rachel Klippel, Justin Adair, Michael Kingston, Denise Tamburrino, Pavi Proczko, Elizabeth Lanza, Clay Sanderson, William Aaron and Christin Boulette. Joining the company for the extension will be John Leen (replacing Clay Sanderson) and Adam Fane (replacing William Aaron).
