Theo Ubique Extends JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Through May 17

Theo Ubique's production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber - Tim Rice musical Jesus Christ Superstar, which sold out its entire originally planned run of March 6 - April 12 in less than one week after opening night - has been extended to May 17th.

Their unplugged and intimate production of the rock opera that has rocked the world since it was first introduced as a two-disc concept album in 1970 has been embraced by audiences and critics alike.

The cast is led by Max DeTogne as Jesus and Donterrio Johnson as Judas along with Smith as Mary Magdalene.Other cast members include Ryan Armstrong (Pilate), Tommy Bullington (Herod), Jonah Winston (Caiaphas), Michael Ferraro (Peter), and Caleb Baze (Simon). Will Wilhelm, Sharriese Hamilton, Steven Perkins, Jomar Ferraras and Khaki Pixley comprise the Ensemble.

The production has reunited the trio of Fred Anzevino, Brenda Didier and Jeremy Ramey, who all worked together on Theo's The Light in the Piazza. Four-time Jeff award-winner Anzevino, co-founder and Artistic Director of the company, directs, Didier, a ten-time Jeff Award winner for choreography and direction is choreographer and two-time Jeff winner Ramey (for his work on Theo's The Light in the Piazza and Smokey Joe's Café) is Music Director.

The design team includes Jeff nominee Adam Veness (scenic design), three-time Jeff winner Bill Morey (costume design) and Maya Michele Fein (lighting designer for Theo's A Kurt Weill Cabaret and Always... Patsy Cline). Also on the production team are Broadway veteran (Barnum) Richard P. Bennett (Assistant Director), Mary-Catherine Mikalayunas (Production Stage Manager) and Cameron Turner (Assistant Choreographer).

Jesus Christ Superstar, featuring music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, runs March 6 - May 17, 2015, playing Thurs at 7:30 pm, Fris & Sats* at 8 pm and Suns* at 7 pm.
