Artistic Director/co-Founder Fred Anzevino has announced the 2013-2014 season of Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre. The schedule of five productions will include an exciting mix of musical theatre, cabaret, and drama with music. In addition, the company has added a "student rush" policy where all unsold tickets will be $15 at the door with student ID.
The season opener is Terrence McNally's Master Class - a biographical play about opera's Maria Callas that includes music by Verdi, Puccini and Bellini. Jeff Award Winner Kelli Harrington will play the legendary diva in the production to be directed by Anzevino, opening October 14.Just in time for winter, the company will follow Master Class with A Very Merry Madrigal, directed by David Heimann. Right after the holidays, Theo Ubique will present its second annual January Cabaret, Come to the Cabaret Old Chum - a series of five one-weekend-only showings of cabaret acts, from music to comedy, and from new works to old favorites.Anzevino will then direct Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Passion. This intimate musical exploring the nature of love will open March 10. The season will close with a new installment in Theo Ubique's series of cabarets celebrating the Great American Songbook. A Musical Tribute to the Andrews Sisters will open June 16, 2014 and will be directed and choreographed by David Heimann, with arrangements and musical direction by Aaron Benham (Time after Time).Videos
