Celebrating 35 years as the "Kings of Disco", the Village People are bringing their Y's, M's, C's and A's to the banks of the scenic Fox River on Saturday, July 14 as headliners of Retro Rock on the Fox outdoor musical festival in downtown Aurora.

Retro Rock on the Fox will take place at the North River Street Park in the heart of Aurora's historic downtown entertainment district, at New York and River Streets, just west of the Hollywood Casino. In addition to a day full of retro rockin' music, also on tap are icy libations, fantastic food, music vendors and a relaxed atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy. A nominal entry fee of $5 covers admission. Admission is free for children 12 and under. Festival hours are 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. (gates open at 1:30 p.m.) There are no advance sales for Retro Rock on the Fox. All tickets are purchased day of at the entry gates.

The Village People are one of the most iconic bands in musical history. Their stage image is unmistakable - Construction Worker, Native American, Cop, Cowboy, Soldier and Biker - while their biggest hit, YMCA, still remains the anthem for unbridled fun. They've sold over 100 million albums, and they have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame between Liberace and Betty Grable. They've received music awards in different countries and at a 2008 concert they even set a world record for the largest YMCA dance with more than 40,000 participants.

So head to downtown Aurora to witness what happens when six talented Macho Men - Ray Simpson (Cop and lead singer), Alexander Briley (Soldier), Felipe Rose (Native American), David Hodo (Construction Worker), Jeff Olson (Cowboy) and Eric Anzalone (Biker) - combine energetic choreography with outrageous fun and lots of bumping and grinding, singing and dancing, and great entertainment for all.
