The Sound is pleased to announce the world premiere of RED BOWL AT THE JEFFS, written by Beth Hyland and directed by Rebecca Willingham. It will run at The Frontier, 1106 W. Thorndale Avenue, from March 30th to April 21st, 2018. Tickets will be available through thesoundchicago.com.

RED BOWL AT THE JEFFS features Georgi McCauley (Elena), Anne E. Thompson (Caroline), Faith Servant (Alex), Ella Pennington (Julie), Margaret Kellas (Sophie), Aaron Latterell (Gabe), Andrew Cutler (Andy), Pernell Myers (Devin), and Carter Caldwell (Hank).

The group of college friends who started Red Bowl Ensemble have been plugging away in the storefront theater scene for years, but now they've finally made it: to the Non-Equity Joseph Jefferson Awards, that is. Loosely inspired by Anton Chekov's THREE SISTERS, RED BOWL AT THE JEFFS is a bittersweet comedy about a group of young artists dealing with ambition, failure, friendship, and making it to Moscow.

"Beth's play is a love letter to Chicago's theatre scene, but it's about a lot more than that, too," said director Rebecca Willingham. "Its themes-how we define success, choosing a safe path or a risk, and how our relationships affect our personal growth-are universal, and the play deals with them in a way that's fresh, funny, and current."

The production team for RED BOWL AT THE JEFFS includes Serena Dully (Production Stage Manager), Kasey Trouba (Production Manager), Alex Beal (Lighting Design), Shain Longbehn (Sound Design), Dana Macel (Scenic Design), Elly Hunt (Costume Design), Anastar Alvarez (Assistant Stage Manager), and Gregory Culley (Graphics).

Run: March 30th - April 21st, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. Tickets: $10, on sale at thesoundchicago.com.
