The Route 66 Theatre Company kicks off its 2010-2011 season with MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT, a new play by Scott T. Barsotti, directed by Damon Kiely.  MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT features an all-star cast including Randy Steinmeyer, Kate Buddeke, Blair Robertson, Tyler Ross, Dane Halvorson and Danielle Brothers.  MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT plays October 7 - November 14, 2010 in Richard Christiansen Theater, upstairs at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Ave.  The press opening is Friday, October 15 at 8 pm.

Randy Steinmeyer and Kate Buddeke star as working-class Pittsburgh parents Guy and Pam McMeekin, who are recovering from a car wreck which left Guy's hands, and Pam's legs, in casts.  Stuck at home since the event, they've started to drive each other up the wall (especially since Guy has taken to waxing philosophic about life, and of course, football.). What would normally be an uneventful Sunday watching the Steelers takes an unexpected turn when the McMeekin's seventeen-year-old daughter Carla (played by Route 66 Theatre Company's Producing Director, Blair Robertson) comes home from an out-of-control party and tells her parents she thinks she has done something bad...something very bad. What transpires next includes a football, an interrogation, a taser, a hammer, a lot of duct tape, and a hilarious family of characters sorting out the truth the best way they know how. What transpires is a laugh-out-loud dark comedy with a strong Pittsburgh flavor.

The production team for MCMEEKIN FINDS OUT includes Jeff Award-nominated Scenic Designers Jacqueline and Richard Penrod and Jeff Award-winning Lighting Designer Jesse Klug.  Sound Design is by recent DePaul University graduate Cristina Di Risi and the Costume Designer is Rachel Laritz.  The Properties and Production Manager is Lee Strausberg and the Fight Director is Society of American Fight Directors and Choreographers Vice-President, John Tovar.  Cori Kabat is the Stage Manager and Route 66 Company Member Matthew Bonaccorso is the Assistant Stage Manager. Route 66 Literary Manager Erica Weiss is the Dramaturg. Jen Bevard is the Assistant Director.
