The Revival, a new comedy theater in Hyde Park, announces its lineup of shows and events playing in December 2016. Inspired by the legacy of the Compass Players, The Revival brings improvisational comedy back to the same corner where it was invented in 1955! Longform Improv featuring Ira Goldberg (Argonne National Laboratory) The Hutchins Plan is named for early twentieth century University of Chicago President RoBert Maynard Hutchins. Featuring "Special Guests" from across the College, the performance begins with an extemporaneous monologue which inspires a series of interconnected scenes. Join host Prof. Randal Picker and The Hutchins Plan Ensemble for an evening of classic long-form improvisation.
