The New Colony has announced its summer line-up of Side Stage programming, including a fully-staged world premiere play, a sneak peek at a new musical in development and one of the most unique improv nights around! Side Stage performances will take place throughout June and July at The New Colony's new home, The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. KUMATE!
Created, directed and performed by Ryan Williams
Music by Ryan Miera

A one-man improvised Kung-Fu movie. Based on one audience suggestion, improviser Ryan Williams will create an entire world filled with action, adventure, honor, realistic sound effects and even a pan flute. Special opening acts each night!

LOST AND FOUND

A world premiere from The New Colony's 2015 Associate Company Member Intensive Program! Julianne, an unhappy and unseen sales associate, finds herself drawn towards Jack, a recluse living off the grid. As Julianne becomes more and more enamored by Jack and his way of life, her friends and family intervene and Julianne must choose between being unseen in the modern world or only being seen by Jack in the depths of the California woods.

A sneak peek at a new musical! Natasha Kepler has returned to her hometown to attend her father's funeral after her sudden departure more than two decades ago. With her, she brings her two children and a spiraling curiosity about her disappearance years ago.
