Village Players Performing Arts Center World Premiere Extended by Popular Demand!

The Medium at Large, starring Tony & Jeff Nominee John Herrera, has added an extra weekend of shows by popular demand!

Following three sold-out performances opening weekend, Village Players has added two performances to meet additional audience demand for tickets.  Additional performances will take place Friday, November 21 at 8 PM and Sunday, November 23 at 3 PM.

The show takes place in New York City, 1938, and asks what if those who have passed on have never really left us at all?  It's possible!  Join Bruce, a medium-at-large, as he plays matchmaker for a pair of sisters in this world and the next, and set skepticism aside for an evening of romantic high jinks and splendid musical numbers.

The production is co-written by Julia Cameron (international best-selling author of The Artist's Way) and Emma Lively.  VP Artistic Director Carl Occhipinti helms the production, after also directing The Full Monty last summer, the most successful production in Village Players' history.

Talkbacks with the production team will occur after every Sunday matinee, included in the ticket price for everyone who attends that afternoon's performance.

The Medium at Large runs through November 23, 2008.  Show times are 8 PM on Fridays & Saturdays, and 3 PM on Sundays. Tickets for regular performances are $25 for adults and $20 for Students & Seniors.  There is no performance on November 22.

Presented in the Mainstage Theater of the newly renovated Village Players Performing Arts Center located at 1010 Madison St., Oak Park. Plenty of parking is available on the street. The theater is handicap accessible; please call ahead to arrange for special seating.   More information is available at www.village-players.org or 866-764-1010.

Village Players Performing Arts Center offers an eclectic mix of entertainment that empowers and inspires while exploring the human condition.
