The LIVINGroom announces the lineup and details for the first installment of its 2018 solo performance season, The LIVINGroom: New Beginnings. On Sundays, March 4, 11, 18, and 25, The LIVINGroom stages an evening of solo performance centered on new beginnings at Colvin House, a landmark mansion turned creative space in Edgewater, Chicago. Eight solo artists will perform autobiographical stories, using music, words, silence, and more, directed by Mary Rose O'Connor, who also directed The LIVINGroom's 2016 performance RIP VIP.
Performers Jacoby Cochran, Sarah Cohen, Shi An Costello, Carly Jo Geer, Megan Powell, Winter Sherrod, Caroline M. Watson, and Anna Wolfe will take the stage at Colvin House in The LIVINGroom: New Beginnings. The LIVINGroom: New Beginnings runs at 7:00 pm on Sundays, March 4, 11, 18, and 25 at Colvin House, located at 5940 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago. Tickets are $15 and are available at eventbrite.com.
The LIVINGroom is a solo performance series that brings together artists and directors who devise, stage, and perform autobiographical stories based on a theme. Staged in venues and theatres around Chicago, performances blend spoken word, movement, theatre, spectacle, music, and any other device that bridges the personal and the universal.
