The mission of the Global Health Initiative (GHI) is to promote global health education, provide medical aid to resource-limited countries, and encourage an interest in primary care medicine. Medical students serve alongside faculty and local healthcare providers in subject areas such as primary care medicine; maternal, neonatal and child health; and HIV, and are actively engaged in preventative medical education dealing with nutrition, the spread of infectious disease and the critical importance of clean water.
