Don Chipotle
Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. • $5
Teatro Vista ensemble member, Juan Villa, offers a sneak preview of his latest script. Don Chipotle is inspired by the classic story of Don Quixote and Juan Villa's experience growing up in an immensely violent environment of the Lower East Side of New York City. The tragedy is not that of an old man who, while going senile exudes the spirit of an uninhibited child, but that of a child who has his childhood hijacked from him, forcing him to grow up too fast. This is a magical adventure story, where, through the eyes and brave action of a child, the audience crosses the vast metropolis of Manhattan to see the world put to right.

First Draft
Monday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. • $5
This segment of First Draft will feature a staged reading of Teatro Vista Resident Playwright Candido Tirado's new play, Two Diamonds.

A second set of short plays presented by Chicago playwright Ike Holter.

NoFilter - Artistic Directors Edition
Monday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. • $20 • $10 industry
The evening features a series of stories based on the theme "Unfinished" as told by some of Chicago's most respected and talented artistic directors, including Jenny Avery (Next Theatre), Ron OJ Parson (Onyx Theatre) and Samuel Roberson (Congo Square Theatre).

"Lack on Lack" by April Fools
Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. • $10
