'Teacher Tales' Added to Steppenwolf Schedule

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is pleased to announce the addition of Teacher Tales: Stories from the Frontlines to its 2008 Traffic Series.  The one-time performance, which explores the failures and victories that define Chicago's educators, will play Sunday, June 1, 2008 in the Steppenwolf Downstairs Theatre,

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. The performance is at 3pm. Tickets cost $25.

"In Teacher Tales: Stories from the Frontlines, Dr. Robert Boone and friends provide a look "behind the curtain" at the motivational moments that define teaching for some of Chicago's finest educators.From crashing failures to exhilarating victories, these teachers' tales will leave audience members with a new appreciation for the influential leaders in all our lives.  Additional stories from Curie Youth Radio will provide funny and candid insight as teachers talk about themselves on tape," press notes state.

Dr. Robert Boone is the founder of Young Chicago Authors, publishers of Say What Magazine and home of the highly acclaimed teen poetry festival "Louder Than A Bomb."

Chicago Public Radio (WBEZ, 91.5 FM) is planning to re-broadcast the one-night only Trafficevents as part of its partnership with Steppenwolf.
