The Revival, a new comedy theater in Hyde Park, announces its lineup of shows and events playing in November 2016. Inspired by the legacy of the Compass Players, The Revival brings improvisational comedy back to the same corner where it was invented in 1955!

University of Chicago's Student Improv Troupe

Founded in 1986 by Second City co-Founder Bernie Sahlins, Off Off Campus is the nation's second oldest student improv troupe. Join the 30th Generation of performers from the University of Chicago for an evening of sketch and improv comedy.

Word Play - a Dave Jeff Joint - is the sound of real hip hop mixed with the hottest new stand ups from across the country and topped with the consciousness of the best spoken word artists on the planet. From flawed presidential nominees to kids on the south side with hoop dreams, TRIGGER is a hilarious and irreverent sketch comedy revue.

The Revival is a new comedy venue in Hyde Park dedicated to reflecting the diversity of Chicago's South Side on stage. Inspired by the legacy of the Compass Players, The Revival brings improvisational comedy back to the very spot where it was born on the northeast corner of 55th Street and University Avenue. This 150-seat, cabaret-style theater features a diverse range of programming including sketch comedy, improv, standup, music and more.
