Harold Pinter's 1967 Tony Award-winning Best Play, THE HOMECOMING returns to Mary-Arrchie after 24 years. Considered Pinter's most sexually provocative work, THE HOMECOMING is an edgy and compelling tale of lust, seduction and deception, telling the story of a dysfunctional family that welcomes the coming home of their estranged brother and son as they compete for the attention of his dangerously alluring wife.

The Homecoming is directed by Geoff Button (The Hypocrites) and features Mary-Arrchie ensemble members Richard Cotovsky (Max) and Dereck Garner (Joey), as well as guest artists Luke Hatton (Teddy), Jack McCabe (Sam), Michaela Petro (Ruth), and Vance Smith (Lenny).

Designers include Amanda Sweger (set & lights), Izumi Inaba (costumes), Joe Court (sound), Mary Patchell (stage mgmt.), Matt Hawkins (fights), Kathy Logelin (dialects), Shannon Clausen (asst. direction), & CoCo Ree Lemery (paint charge).

Geoff Button returns to Mary-Arrchie after making his Chicago directing debut in the Abbie Hoffman Died For Our Sins Festival. He has since gone on to direct the Hypocrites' productions of Desire Under the Elms and True West (Non-Equity Jeff Nominations for Best Director, Best Play), as well as Strawdog Theater Company's State of the Union. He is a recent graduate of Northwestern University's MFA directing program.

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. was established in 1986 and is currently in its 25th full season of theater. We are committed to producing theater as an ensemble including actors, directors, and designers who are intimately involved in the process. We approach material, published and original, dealing with the fears and passions of the human condition involving characters who are often misunderstood, societal outcasts, and victims of their own exile. We have garnered a reputation for making risky choices by embracing challenging material for both our audience and the artists involved. We are dedicated to bringing light to controversial subjects and presenting alternative viewpoints of these subjects giving our audience different information to consider as they walk away from the theater.
