TATC's Education through Theatre presents the enchanted world of William Shakespeare through A Midsummer Night's Dream, opening tonight, April 4 at 7pm with shows on April 6th at 11:00am and 1:30pm, and April 7th at 1:30pm.
Magic and laughter are on the loose in the woods outside of Athens in Shakespeare's most popular comedy! Puck leads two couples on a wild and merry chase where love and illusion collide when they become entangled in fairy mischief on the eve of a Royal Wedding. Dreams and reality become interchangeable and romantic chaos ensues.
The entire cast is comprised of students ages 7 to 18 from all over Northwest Indiana and Illinois, and are part of TATC's Education through Theatre program. Isabel Contreras will be playing Puck; Erica Habas is Oberon - the fairy King; Athena Gerodemos is Titania - the Fairy Queen; Karah Sikora is Hermia; Alexander Vrbanoff is Lysander; Casey Wallace is Helena; Sean Schuljak is Demetrius; and Megan Flynn is Nick Bottom. Other cast members include: Maya Cazares, Mia Terek, Charles Iverson, Ava Solis, Brandon Steinweg, Emma Taylor, Naomi Loos, Tamaira Harrington, Christina Redmond, Sarah Spalding, Katarina Milan, Rylee Suarez, Isabella Simkus, Lauren Dumaresq, Gianna Marie Poulos, Olivia Baczkowski, Ava Swalina and Kearia Baylor. A Midsummer Night's Dream is sure to have the audience engaged in an alternative punk-like fairy world of magic and illusions.
A Midsummer Night's Dream production team, led by Director Patty Bird and Assistant Director Mary Bird, includes Set Designer Ann. N Davis, Lighting Designer Andre Campbell, Sound Designer Luis Ramon Garcia, Props Designer Jessie Howe, Costume Designer Alice Broughton and the Stage Manager is Katie Feichter.
