Gear up for an inspiring weekend of powerful connection and mentorship, personal transformation, leadership and more, when talk show and "Family Feud" host, comedian, best-selling author, and top radio host StEve Harvey and The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation bring The StEve Harvey Mentoring Program for Young Men to Chicago, to host 100 young men at Chicago State University on November 15 - 17th.

Selected via application, mentees who will participate in The StEve Harvey Mentoring Program for Young Men in Chicago come from a single female-headed household in the Chicago metro area, and are between 13-18 years old and in grades 8-12. The young men will take part in a dynamic transformative weekend experience with an array of male mentors and motivating sessions that share invaluable life lessons, including navigating the expectations and principles of manhood, team building, sports and fitness, tools to build success, and more.

With staggering statistics that estimate 1 out of 3 children in the U.S. are living in fatherless households, The StEve Harvey Mentoring Program for Young Men is driven to empower the futures of young men who may be experiencing personal challenges in their vital teenage years, to provide guidance and welcome leaders that help strengthen their journey to manhood, and take charge towards reaching their dreams and utmost potential as positive, successful men. Hosting revelatory sessions and stimulating activities, during the Chicago mentoring camp weekend the young men will join together for team building and physical fitness with the U.S. Army, frank sessions on manhood, building personal enrichment and uplifting social fellowship, an educational expo, a fashion challenge, talent showcase, a closing ceremony that will include special awards presentations, and other resources that continue positive personal and social development.

The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) will also support the weekend's programming and introduce participants to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) by conducting a 3-hour, hands-on automotive design project, the Fuel Cell Challenge. Under the challenge, the boys will use a fuel cell as the priMary Power source to design, build and test prototype vehicles. The challenge enables participants to explore physical science concepts, mathematics concepts, and environmental concepts such as green design. Chicago State University, where the program is being held, is a leading institution in producing minority graduates in STEM fields.

The StEve Harvey Mentoring Program for Young Men in Chicago at Chicago State University includes support from the U.S. Army, Coca-Cola, K&G Fashion Superstore, V103 Chicago (102.7-FM), Big Daddy's BBQ, Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, Harold's Chicken, and more.
