Street Tempo Theatre welcomes Santa Claus to their presentation of It's A Wonderful Santa Land Miracle Nut Cracking Christmas Story... Jews Welcome, a multimedia holiday extravaganza for the entire family at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave, for two Sundays only, December 16 and 23 at 3 p.m. Santa will be mingling in the Stage 773 lobby following the performances to listen to children's wish lists and to pose for photographs. It's A Wonderful Santa Land Miracle Nut Cracking Christmas Story... Jews Welcome is playing through Sunday, Dec. 30 with performance times Fridays and Saturdays and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Ticket are $30 for the regular run. Street Tempo Theatre packs the whole holiday season into one festivous, exciting, cheery and merry show. Audiences will be taken on a seasonal adventure with singing, dancing, stories, interactive games and non-holiday specific eggnog. ABOUT THE DIRECTORS
Brian Posen (Director), founder of Street Tempo Theatre has been included in PerformInk as one of the most influential people in the Chicago theater scene and NewCity named Posen as one of the "Top 30 Players Who Really Perform in Chicago." Posen is the Artistic Director of Stage 773, Street Tempo Theatre & Liminality Theatre. He is the founder and executive producer of The Annual Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival ("A raging Lakeview comedic beast" -Chicago Tribune), as well as the founder and director of The Cupid Players ("Best Sketch Comedy Group in Chicago"-Chicago Reader). Posen has been active in the Chicago theater scene for more than 20 years as an actor, producer, director and teacher. Posen has received several awards including ‘Jeff' and ‘After Dark' awards. He is program head at the Second City Training Center, where he has been teaching improvisation since 1993, as well as teaching at Columbia College Chicago since 1994. Posen has also taught in countless number of institutions, including Actors Theater in Louisville and Steppenwolf Theater. He has performed in and directed hundreds of productions. Posen received his MFA in Acting from the University of Illinois. He is a member of SAG and AFTRA.
Jack Short (Music Director) has worked in Chicago Theatre over 20 years as a musician and as an administrator. As part of the Stage 773 staff, Short runs the marketing, ticketing, and special events along with tenant services. Programs. He was also part of the Apple Tree Theatre administrative staff for several years in the development, ticketing and education offices. As a composer Short has written full length musicals and contributed tunes to numerous other productions at theaters includeing Theatre Bam, Stage Left, Theatre Building Chicago and more. He serves on the board of directors for the Dupage Symphony Orchestra and Normal Moments, both of Naperville.
