Stage 48 Productions, in collaboration with Wishing Star Theatre, is proud to present Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods. Originally on Broadway in 1987, this dazzling score brings to life fairy tale characters, who are forced into the woods to obtain certain wishes and desires. The show is a beautiful portrait of relationships, moral issues, and the lessons we teach our children.
Into the Woods features both Chicago and suburban talent, showcasing actors who have performed at many theatres across the area. The show is directed by Kevin Wiczer, who most recently directed Woodstock Musical Theatre Company's Guys and Dolls. Musical direction is by Jon Landvick, of Circle Theatre, with choreography by Kara Williams. The cast features: Chris Warren, Amanda Pallanti, Tommy Vendafreddo, Tommy Bullington, Colette Todd, Sheri Storer, Jennifer Wiczer, Kimberly Wiczer, Bridget Sundin, Cassandra Cushman, Denise Tamburrino, Greg Payne, Anita Hoffman, Kevin Goss, Jessica Lauren Fisher, Joel Bennett, Mark Stickney, and Wishing Star Theatre students Claire Bryant and Sidney Hamilton. Performances will be at 8pm, Friday and Saturday, June 17-18 and 24-25, and Sundays, June 19th and 26th at 3pm. The theatre is located at Wishing Star's current space at 850 S.
