The Saint Sebastian Players conclude their 27th season with Fools by Neil Simon. Performances are April 25-May 18 (NEW dates from those previously announced) at St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, Chicago. The 2007-08 season has been dedicated to the memory of SSP member Scott Rosengarden.

One of America's most popular playwrights, Neil Simon is the author of Fools, one of his less frequently produced works. In the Ukranian village of Kulyenchikov, which is cursed with stupidity, Dr. Zubritsky and his wife hire an outside teacher for their lovely daughter. When he falls in love with his pupil, the teacher vows to break the town's curse.

Fools is directed by Renae Stone, who spent more than 10 years in children's theatre directing, acting and touring across the country; favorite directing credits include The Wizard of Oz, Grease, On the Record, West Side Story and Best Christmas Pageant Ever. She also appeared in SSP's productions of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and The Women. The cast includes SSP company members Jim Masini, John Oster and Nancy Pollock, along with Torey Adkins, Michael Borgmann, Jason Garvett, Christina Gorman, Lona Livingston, Sarah Loveland and Dan Wachter. SSP members on the production team include Sharon Sullivan as producer, Jonathan Hagloch as technical director/set designer, Heather McConaha as costume designer and John Oster as properties manager.

Fools runs April 25-May 18 at St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, at Marshfield just west of Ashland, in Chicago. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Free parking is available in two lots. Tickets are $15, $10 for students with valid IDs and $7 for seniors and children younger than 12. Group rates also are available.

All programming is subject to change. For information, call 773-404-7922 or visit SSP's Website, saintsebastianplayers.org. Tickets are also on sale at ticketweb.com and at HOT TIX.
