Internationally-acclaimed Redmoon has announced that that Sophia Wong Boccio has joined Redmoon's team as Managing Director. Sophia will provide strong and visionary leadership of Redmoon's business affairs and fundraising efforts.

The daughter of Hong Kong film industry parents (father an editor and mother an actress), Sophia started her business career in Hong Kong before moving on to senior executive positions in both China and Australia. For the past thirteen years Sophia has been living and working in Chicago, where she successfully co-led two arts non-profits. As Managing Director of the Chicago International Film Festival, Sophia restored the financial health, while increasing the scope of the Festival offering and attracting national acclaim to the Festival and Chicago.

As Executive Director of the Fulcrum Point New Music Project, Sophia continued to gain city-wide respect managing and developing Fulcrum Point into a leader in new music enterprise. Much of her time was spent fundraising, educating potential donors about Fulcrum Point's programs and new educational initiatives and staging performances. Fulcrum Point has an impeccable reputation and Sophia earned a name for herself as practical, generous and driven to results.

"We feel very lucky to have Sophia on the team. She is passionate about the arts and sees clearly the tremendous opportunity that Redmoon has in front of it. Sophia brings with her an attention to detail and big picture understanding of how an arts organization needs to position itself to thrive," says Co-Artistic Director Jim Lasko.

Sophia's first moves were to expand Redmoon's administrative professionalism. She has done so by securing Wil Roberson, as Director of Finance, previously from Urban League of Aurora and Jennifer Talbot, Director of Marketing and Communication, formally branding and marketing professional and founder of Jen Talbot Designs.

Ralph Senst, Redmoon Board President says, "These are exciting times at Redmoon. With our new 57,000 square foot home that will host a season of new programming, including The Great Chicago Fire Festival, with the return of Jim Lasko from his Fellowship at Harvard University, and now with new operational staff and Sophia as the managing director, Redmoon continue to grow as a civic and cultural force."

Wil Roberson joins Redmoon as the Director of Finance, bringing with him over twenty years of experience in providing fiscal management, control and operations for corporate and non-profit based organizations, which he formally executed successfully at companies such as, Xerox, North American Stevedoring Company and most recently with Urban League of Aurora. With Urban League of Aurora and through out his financial career, Roberson has built a reputation on transparent communication and reporting leading and implementing long-term successful financial strategies.

Jennifer Talbot joins Redmoon as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Jennifer comes to Redmoon with over ten years of experience defining and delivering a particular grassroots branded marketing message for large scale installation art performances, curated exhibitions and live events, along with the environmental brand and marketing development for companies such as Western Union, Starbucks, Drifire, DaVanit Enoteca, and Land of Nod. Talbot's former practice as a large-scale installation performance artist has resulted in her full understanding of the unique quality of Red Moon's theater experience and the challenges that lay ahead in the development of successful spanning marketing strategy.

Emily Reusswig acting Communications Director who has been part of the Redmoon team since 2009, now moves into a new role in development as Associate Development Director.
