the tim&micah project, a Chicago-based avant-garde sketch comedy duo, has announced their return to Donny's Skybox Theatre with their fourth revue, the tim&micah project: VERSUS, appearing every Saturday @ 7:30pm from February 12 to March 12.
the tim&micah project: VERSUS is purposefully pretentious sketch comedy, painstakingly constructed to provide the audience with the highest caliber of thought-provoking comedic enjoyment. Recently featured in the New York International Fringe Festival, the tim&micah project is presenting its fourth all-original production in an effort to expand minds and broaden entertainment horizons. Time Out Chicago and Centerstage Chicago have both called the tim&micah project "comedic geniuses" and the Chicago Tribune declares them "worth seeking out."
the tim&micah project: VERSUS is written & performed by Tim Soszko and Micah Philbrook, who have worked side by side improvising, writing, and teaching for many years and at many different places, including 7 years working as co-producers of the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival. Out of their desire to bring inventive and distinct work to the sketch comedy scene, they created the tim&micah project. Their work has repeatedly won them critical acclaim. Past revues include the tim&micah project: SHOW, the tim&micah project: SEQUEL, and the tim&micah project: CONTINUE.
"VERSUS is a chance for me to finally have my artistic vision realized without being compromised by anything or anyone," explained belligerent writer/performer Micah Philbrook.
"My focus in VERSUS is to get "the tim project" back to what it originally stood for," pugnaciously declared writer/performer Tim Soszko.

Named for the late Don DePollo, one of the Second City Training Center's most well-respected and influential teachers, Donny's Skybox Theatre is a cabaret theater located on the fourth floor of Piper's Alley in Chicago. It is used as a classroom for The Second City Training Center most days and weeknights, and a performance venue Thursday through Sunday nights.
Donny's Skybox Theatre is dedicated to presenting productions that are rooted in the crafts of theatrical improvisation and sketch comedy as taught by The Second City Training Center. Alumni, faculty, students, and other members of the extended Second City family unite to develop new voices and points-of-view in a manner that honors the history of the work and seeks to propel it into the future. Donny's Skybox is a studio environment where both emerging and established artists are encouraged to experiment, innovate, and grow.
