Raue Center For The Arts will welcome six-time Grammy Award winner Amy Grant at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017. The singer-songwriter has built a long and successful career on creating music that matters.
Since bursting onto the scene with the release of her debut self-titled album in 1977, Grant has brought contemporary Christian music to the forefront of American culture. The Nashville native is known for creating potent songs that examine the complexities of life with an open heart and a keen eye.
Grant became the first artist in Christian music history to have a platinum record and went on to become a crossover sensation. Her musical gifts transcended genre boundaries to make her a household name, with contemporary Christian-pop hits such as "Baby, Baby," and "Find a Way."
Grant has earned six Grammy Awards and numerous Gospel Music Association Dove Awards as well as three multi-platinum albums, six platinum awards and four gold albums. She has also earned ten Top 40 pop singles and placed 17 hits on the Top 40 Adult Contemporary chart as well as scoring numerous hits on the contemporary Christian charts. Grant released her most recent album, "How Mercy Looks From Here," in 2013.
