McAninch Arts Center (MAC), located at 425 Fawell Blvd., hosts a festive Tickets On-Sale Party, Saturday, Aug. 4, in the MAC lobby, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. The event will feature tours of the theaters, gifts for the first 100 buyers, drawings for prizes every half hour, live piano music by COD faculty member Steven Havens and free food and drink. Patrons will also enjoy the opportunity to chat with representatives of Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, New Philharmonic and the MAC; enjoy personal attention from box office staff; and receive savings on handling fees and access to prime theater seating.
The Tickets On-Sale Party is the first time theatergoers will have the opportunity to buy single show tickets for performances in Buffalo Theatre Ensemble and New Philharmonic's new seasons as well as exciting shows featured in the MAC's 2018-2019 season including:
Season openers Colin Mochrie & Brad Sherwood of "Whose Line is it Anyway" in their "The Scared Scriptless Tour"
Bassem Youssef, known as "the Jon Stewart of the Arab World"
Jazz artists Dee Dee Bridgewater, Take 6 and "Take Me To the River: New Orleans LIVE"
World premiere of "The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation-Live!" created at the MAC by Griffin Theater, under the direction of William Massolia
Dance events including Pilobolus "Shadowland: The New Adventure" and Ballet Hispanico
World music and dance performances including Compania Flamenca Eduardo Guerrero, Bollywood Boulevard, direct from an appearance at Lincoln Center, and Celtic Nights
PBS favorites the Annie Moses Band, The Texas Tenors and The High Kings.
