Elizabeth Brown is stranded in the middle of a lake with no rescuers in sight in her story "Sunfish Wars." In his story "Travels and Travels in Iraq" Terry Moritz of Highland Park wonders how he will survive a cab ride through Kurdistan.
Edward Zifkin, also of Highland Park, attempts to quit his four-pack-a-day habit in "Camels."
Gurnee resident Rebecca Adler's search into the past uncovers hidden family secrets in her story "Hellish." Short Story Theatre was founded in 2012 and is dedicated to promoting storytelling as a vibrant, contemporary art form. Co-founder and Producer Donna Lubow says, "Stories are creative non-fiction, based on personal experiences. Our troupe of more than fifty members from Chicago and the northern suburbs melds writing skills and performance skills to entertain and inspire audiences."
