In "I've Become My Father," Scott Woldman of Wilmette tells a story about drugs, violence, love, and the hope that the circle of life is not so circular.
Rino Liberatore, also of Wilmette, recalls how he faced adversity when he entered the work world as a young boy - and learned the meaning of a dollar. His story: "I of the Storm." Holly Birnbaum of Chicago shows how a baby boy and a man of a certain age walked through their medical adventures side by side in her story "Ageless Wonder."
In "Heck No," Avinash Vaidya is thrown a curve ball on a Trans-Canada rail journey he and his wife take to celebrate their 25thwedding anniversary. Short Story Theatre was founded in 2012 and is dedicated to promoting storytelling as a vibrant, contemporary art form. Co-founder and Producer Donna Lubow says, "Stories are creative non-fiction, based on personal experiences. Our troupe of more than fifty members from Chicago and the northern suburbs melds writing skills and performance skills to entertain and inspire audiences."
