Short Story Theatre presents an evening of storytelling tonight, November 12, at Bertucci's Italian Steakhouse, 246 Green Bay Road in Highwood.
Four storytellers, including Bruce Bertucci, Ron Levitsky of Lake Forest, Eileen Donohue of Evanston, and Sarita Miller of Deerfield, will tell stories about La Famiglia Bertucci, stupid boys, marital mojo, and little girls who won't talk.
Short Story Theatre, a troupe of writers/performers, was founded by Susan Block and Rick Leslie of Highland Park and Donna Lubow of Riverwoods.
Dinner (with a 10% discount) is at 6:00 p.m., and the show begins at 7:00 p.m. Show tickets are $10. For reservations: 847-432-6663. For more information and for guidelines: www.shortstorytheatre.com or dramadonna@aol.com.
STORYTELLERS:
Eileen Donohue studied with Nancy Beckett at the Lakeside Writing Studio for seven years, where she completed a first draft memoir about her family and her mother's terminal illness. "Now," she says, "it's on to the endless revisions." In the meantime, she also enjoys writing personal essays. She lives in Evanston with her husband, Gene, and their two children.
