There's a reason Planet Hollywood in Vegas built a theatre for the sole purpose of housing STOMP. And there's a reason they sold out every show they played at the Paramount last time they were in town.

Now's your chance to experience the most successful off-Broadway creation of all time when STOMP returns to Aurora's Paramount Theatre, Friday, February 26 at 8 p.m., and Saturday, February 27 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $39.50 and $49.50. The Paramount Theatre is located at 23 E. Galena Blvd, in the heart of downtown Aurora. For tickets and information, go to ParamountAurora.com, call the box office at (630) 896-6666 or stop by the Paramount Theatre, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

STOMP is an inventive, energizing and downright electrifying spectacle that blends dance, music, percussion and theatricals into one gigantic rhythm that will have your heart pounding. Explosive, provocative, witty andutterly unique, STOMP is an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.

The eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments - matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters, hubcaps - to fill the stage with magnificent rhythms. Year after year, audiences worldwide keep coming back for more of this pulse-pounding electrifying show. As the Boston Globe says, "If you haven't seen STOMP, GO! If you have seen it, take someone and share the pleasure!"

STOMP was created in 1991 in Brighton, UK by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas. The show premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and went on to play to international audiences from Hong Kong to Barcelona, Dublin to Sydney, culminating at London's Sadler's Wells in 1994, where it received two Olivier Award nominations and won one for Best Choreography.

The New York production opened in 1994 at the Orpheus Theatre, where it is still running today after more than 20 years. STOMP has garnered armfuls of awards, enjoyed long runs in Vegas, Boston and San Francisco, was the subject of an award-winning HBO special and an IMAX film, has appeared on countless national television shows and has performed internationally from the Acropolis in Athens, to the Academy Awards, to the 2012 London Olympics Closing Ceremony.
