In a special event celebration, Chicago Mayors Richard M. Daley (City of Chicago) and Jeffery T. Sherwin (City of Northlake and Chair, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus) hosted mayors from the metropolitan area honoring the company of JERSEY BOYS, commemorating over two years of performances in Chicago at the Bank of America Theatre. The event took place on October 27th.
Following the curtain call, the Chicago Company of JERSEY BOYS honored Mayor Daley and the City of Chicago with a performance of a special Four Seasons-style arrangement of "My Kind of Town."
Directed by two-time Tony Award® - winner Des McAnuff, Jersey Boys won both the 2006 Tony Award® for Best Musical and the 2006 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Recording, and most recently, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and continues to break box office records on Broadway and in Chicago. Jersey Boys is written by Academy Award® - winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.
Jersey Boys premiered in Chicago on October 5, 2007 and became a resident production on February 27, 2008. The performance schedule is as follows: Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays at 2 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.; Fridays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Individual tickets range in price from $30 to $110. A select number of premium seats are also available.
