In an entertaining evening of honesty and empathy, the Saint Sebastian Players (SSP) present "If We Were a Rich Theatre," a cabaret fundraiser, on Saturday, June 6 at St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey, Chicago.

"Money can't buy everything, but it sure can buy costumes" is the tagline that hints at the evening's theme. The event begins at 7 p.m. with appetizers and the opportunity to bid on a range of silent auction items. The performance featuring songs and skits takes place at 8 p.m.; the first half is entitled "poor" and the second half is called "rich." During intermission, the winners of silent auction items will be announced.

Performers include SSP members Steve Malone, Jim Masini, Nancy Pollock, Kelly Rhyne and Renae Stone, along with Ron Goldstein, Krista Michalek and Alex Newkirk.

"If We Were a Rich Theatre" takes place Saturday, June 6 from 7 to 10 p.m. at St. Bonaventure, 1625 W. Diversey (enter on Marshfield), Chicago. Tickets are $30, $20 for season subscribers. All programming is subject to change. Tickets are available by e-mailing tickets@saintsebastianplayers.org or calling 773-404-7922.
