Schoolhouse Rock Live! the favorite Saturday morning cartoon series from the 1970's, comes to the stage at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie, on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 and 3 p.m. Schoolhouse Rock Live! follows Tom, a young teacher, as he nervously anticipates teaching his first class. As he relaxes with a video game, characters magically emerge from various objects in the room to help him prepare to fill the bright young minds of his students. Teaching history, grammar, math and science, Schoolhouse Rock Live! features more than 20 musical numbers from the original TV series. Created and directed by Scott Ferguson, the co-founder and artistic director of Theatrebam Chicago, Schoolhouse Rock Live! is a family-friendly production, appealing to adults and children alike.
