Due to popular demand, Chicago's
Entertainer Ron Hawking will once again extend his new show The Men and Their Music at the Mercury Theatre now through December 31. Tickets for a new block of performances from
September 14 through October 28, 2007 are currently on sale. Tickets for performances through December 31 go on-sale Friday, October 5.
"The Men and Their Music celebrates the greatest male vocalists of all time – featuring a live orchestra, back-up vocalists and acclaimed showman Hawking as the headliner. The show features a repertoire of iconic numbers from music legends including Frankie Valli, Bobby Darin, Ray Charles, Lou Rawls, Burt Bacharach, Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, Andrea Bocelli, Barry Manilow and many others," declare press notes.
Ron Hawking returns to Chicago following the successful and critically acclaimed long-run of His Way – A Tribute to the Man and His Music, an homage to the late and great singer Frank Sinatra. After running for nearly a year at the Mercury Theatre, Hawking continued to breathe new life into these legendary tunes around Chicago for the following six years. Expanding on the thriving demand for the musical style of artists like Sinatra, Ron Hawking returned to the Chicago stage in June 2007 with The Men and Their Music.
The Men and Their Music plays Chicago's Mercury Theatre (3745 N. Southport Ave.) through December 31, 2007. The performance schedule is as follows: Thursdays at 8PM; Fridays at 8PM; Saturdays at 8PM; and Sundays at 3PM.
