RENT RETURNS TO CHICAGO IN SPRING 2009 STARRING
Adam PAscal AND Anthony Rapp,
STARS OF ORIGINAL BROADWAY PRODUCTION
AND FILM ADAPTATION OF RENT

National Touring Production Plays Limited Engagement at the Ford Center For the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre March 31 – April 12, 2009

Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to announce the new national tour of Rent, starring original Broadway cast members Adam PAscal and Anthony Rapp, will play a limited engagement at Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph St.) March 31 – April 12, 2009. The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Rent is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Kevin McCollum, and Allan S. Gordon.

Adam PAscal and Anthony Rapp originated the roles of Roger Davis and Mark Cohen at the New York Theatre Workshop, on Broadway, and in London, and recreated their roles in the 2005 movie version of the musical.  Pascal and Rapp returned to Rent on Broadway for a limited engagement in the summer of 2007.

"Adam and Anthony didn't just play Roger and Mark. To millions of Rent fans they are Roger and Mark. Adam and Anthony are to Rent what Joel Grey was to Cabaret and Zero Mostel was to Fiddler on the Roof. It's a great time to offer fans all over America the unique chance to see them in their signature roles," said Jeffrey Seller.

Pascal and Rapp are both scheduled to appear in a memorable presentation for the final performance of RENT at the Nederlander Theatre, which will be filmed live with the final Broadway company. The RENT cinecast will also feature other special closing night extras. The cinecast is produced by the Academy Award®-winning producers @radical.media and will play in movie theatres nationwide beginning in September.
