Redtwist's Clybourne Park, by Bruce Norris and directed by Steve Scott will open Saturday, October 5, at 3pm.
A thematic descendant of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun, this Pulitzer Prize-winning drama is a merciless satire on American race relations, targeting a quaint Chicago neighborhood. Act I focuses on the cozy post-war era in 1959 when a black family is moving into an all-white community. Act II takes us back to the exact same house 50 years later, when a white family begins the gentrification of a now black community.
The show features BrIan Parry (Russ/Dan), Jan Ellen Graves (Bev/Kathy), Kelly Owens (Francine/Lena), Michael Sherwin (Jim/Tom), Frank Pete (Albert/Kevin), Patrick Whalen (Karl/Steve), Carley Moseley (Betsy/Lindsey), Kaelan Strouse (Kenneth)
