SCOTT WEINSTEIN (pictured) - Redtwist welcomes Scott Weinstein as a new company member. One of Chicago's most exciting young artists, Scott burst onto the Chicago theatre scene with his dazzling direction of SHE KILLS MONSTERS at Steppenwolf in 2013. He recently solidified his impressive credentials with the acclaimed production of TITANIC at Griffin Theatre, for which he received a Jeff nomination as Best Director. He will be directing THE DRAWER BOY at Redtwist in January, as well as taking the reins for RENT at Theo Ubique immediately afterwards.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Scott transplanted to Chicago to attend Northwestern University where he earned a degree in Theatre in 2010. He was married to actress Caitlin Collins in September, 2014. In addition to being a busy newlywed and free-lance director, Scott is Assistant Director nationwide for the MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET franchise, mounting various MDQs across the country.

Regarding Scott's new affiliation with Redtwist, Artistic Director, Michael Colucci, said "I was completely knocked out by Scott's king-size imagination in SHE KILLS MONSTERS and I immediately tried to arrange a Redtwist project with him, which resulted in our Jeff-nominated production of ALL-AMERICAN just a few months later. Scott is a unique talent and it's beyond exciting to imagine the new theatrical terrain where he will plant his flag. Whatever he chooses will be exhilarating, and we're delighted that some of his magic will happen at Redtwist."

He earned a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where he studied with Stella Adler, David Mamet and William H. Macy. Since his return to Chicago, Adam has appeared as Dr. Watson in City Lit's HOLMES AND WATSON (2014), and will reprise that role in City Lit's world premiere adaptation of THE SEVEN PER-CENT SOLUTION in the fall/winter of 2015.
