(Cicero, IL) - The Jedlicka Performing Arts Center proudly presents Ray Bradbury's charming and thoughtful comedy THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT at their theatre in Cicero, just outside the Chicago city limits.

In 1998 THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT was made into a film which starred Edward James Almos, Sid Caesar and Joe Mantegna. Mantegna fans will recall that Joe actually grew up and attended school in Cicero.

The play tells the story of six poor men who chip in to buy a beautiful white suit and then take turns wearing it and having the time of their lives. This storyline was later adapted into the 2005 film "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants".

The cast includes Jeffrey Arias of Berwyn, Max Cervantes of Berwyn, Salvatore Covello of Lockport, Cat Davidson of Skokie, Arley Gonzalez of Cicero, Lane Halverson of Oak Park and Vincent Soto of Cicero as well as Michael Leon, Eric Loughlin and Joel Camden of Chicago. THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT is directed by JPAC Artistic Director Dante Orfei with Scenic Design by Michael Nedza, Costume Design by Ashley Ann Woods and Multimedia Design by Micheal Kott.

THE WONDERFUL ICE CREAM SUIT opens September 10th at 7:30pm and plays Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 through September 25th with 3pm Matinees on Sunday September 12th and Sunday September 19th. Tickets are $17 ($15 for Senior Citizens) and are available on-line at www.jpactheatre.com, or by calling JPAC's box-office at 708-656-1800.
