Raue Center Presents ICONS OF VINYL Image

Rock the Raue with a night of hit after hit songs everyone knows and loves! Raue Center For The Arts is excited to announce "Icons of Vinyl: The Music of Eric Clapton & Tom Petty" featuring the PettyBreakers and Journeyman at 8 p.m. on January 12, 2019.

"I really enjoy the music of Petty and Clapton, so I was thrilled by the opportunity to promote a group of great musicians who celebrate their music with genuine passion," says Executive Director, Richard Kuranda. "They join a great line up of tributes that we will be hosting in 2019. You won't believe how good they are!"

The PettyBreakers is the nation's premier Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute act. Based out of Southern California, this band accurately recreates the sights, sounds and concert experience of a Tom Petty concert. Classics including "American Girl," "Break Down," "Free Fallin'," "Mary Jane's Last Dance," "Refugee," "Runnin' Down a Dream" and so many more are perfectly reproduced by the PettyBreakers.

Playing to packed houses all over the United States, the band is comprised of excellent musicians who have performed and recorded with International Artists. The PettyBreakers features Ozzie Mancinelli (lead vocals, guitar), John McAllister (lead guitar), David Zeman (keyboards, vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica), Danny Leoni (bass, vocals) and Scotty Kormos (drums, vocals) honoring the music of a legendary American icon.

"Icons of Vinyl" also features Journeyman, a tribute to Eric Clapton featuring Shaun Hague. At 17, Hague was named "The Best Young Blues Guitarist" by The House of Blues and by 21, he was playing guitar for blues phenom Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Hague's career has also seen him sharing the stage with Amos Lee, John Waite, Terra Naomi, performing on Jay Leno and sitting in with John Fogerty.

In honor of his biggest musical influence, Hague has been making waves with his Journeyman. The tribute features Robert Monroe (keys, vocals), Darius Peterson (drums) and Laura Lopardo (backing vocals). Together, they provide a powerful performance of all aspects of Clapton's career from "Bluesbreakers" to "From The Cradle"!

"We cannot wait to bring 'Icons of Vinyl' to the historic Raue Center. Chicago has become one of the strongest markets in the U.S. for both acts, selling out venues such as the Arcada Theater and Beverly Center for the Arts," says Hague. "The night will feature hits and B-Sides from two classic catalogues, spanning over 50 years of music."

Tickets are $35 and may be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or at 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
