Random Acts closes out its 2017 season with its first ever US premiere, The Bone House, playing at The Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave, November 3 - 11. The Fringe sensation by Marty Chan will be directed by Artistic Director Bryan Renaud and feature Erik Burke and Savanna Rae in their Random Acts debuts.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at RandomActsChicago.com or GreenhouseTheater.org.
Called "an unforgettable experience in fear and dread" by The List, The Bone House is a shocking piece of immersive theater that takes place at a lecture about serial killers such as Dahmer, Bundy, and Gacy. The play has been produced numerous times internationally to endless acclaim, with See Magazine calling it "the scariest f***ing thing I've seen all year."
"There is no pretend audience," states Chan, "Crowley is addressing the people sitting in the theatre. Through the course of the lecture, we start to rip away people's safety nets, the things that they cling to that sort of remind them that they're in a show, and it questions if they're actually watching a performance or if they're sitting in a real lecture about serial killers." Once the audience has lost their sense of reality, the production "pulls the rug out from under them."
In addition to Burke and Rae, additional casting will be announced soon.
